Following last week's MAC Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, chatter around UB was that sophomore Megan Burns had done enough in her signature event - the 50 free - to secure an invitation to the NCAA Championships despite missing the autobid that comes with an 'A' cut.
I'm not sure when the list of invitees was put out, but Burns has indeed secured an invitation in not only the 50 free, but also the 100 free. She's the first Bull to travel to Nationals since Brittney Kuras and Mallory Morrell each made the meet in 2013.
