We've seen in the last year or so the stark differences between the massive cash grab of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament and nearly every other sport. Women's Soccer and Men's Tennis last year both had to start their tournaments with road games.
The NCAA Women's Basketball set up is much the same, and it was highly unlikely that UB's team would grab the 11 seed necessary to avoid a true road matchup in their opener, as the top 16 teams host pods of four for the first two rounds before the regionals.
