Joanna Smith and Gabi Bade sparked a big first half comeback and Women's Basketball has a winning streak going after a matinee victory over Kent State, 77-66.
The Bulls prevailed behind 25 points on 7-10 shooting from distance from Smith and 8 points and 8 rebounds from Bade despite committing 13 turnovers in the first half and at one point trailing 21-5.
Nine turnovers in the first quarter and a stubborn refusal to guard Kent sharpshooter Larissa Lurken dug the Bulls a substantial hole but UB used an extended run and more than five minutes of scoreless defense to surprisingly lead at the break on a Bade three pointer.
