There's not much you can do to overcome an 11-point half, no matter what else goes right. In last season's game against St. Bonaventure, UB Women's Basketball was able to overcome a slow start to beat the Bonnies, but tonight trailed throughout in a 59-32 loss.
Buffalo hasn't been a particularly strong offensive team at all this season, but until recently did enough in combination with a very strong defense to win. Lately, as the defense faces tougher tests, there's less room for error, and tonight the offense was as bad as any game in program history.
Stephanie Reid led the Bulls in scoring with 10 points, but the UB offense could not even top 20% shooting, while Bonaventure was above 40% for much of the game.
