In San Diego Branden Oliver had the best night of any Charger running back. He ran the ball five times for 17 yards and added an eleven yard reception. Neither Melvin Gordon or Danny Woodhead were a factor in the San Diego passing game and it may be a sign that the Chargers coaching staff have, as they said, put stuff in the playbook to make sure Oliver does not go to waste.
Most of Oliver's yards were three yards and a cloud of dust plays which suits San Diego fans quite well.
