Wes Clark seems to be everything Buffalo fans were hoping for but poor shooting among UB’s other starters contributed to Buffalo’s falling short in their attempt to knock of in state hoops power, Syracuse.
Clark finished 6 of 11 from the field for 15 points but the rest of UB’s starting lineup went 8-30. CJ Massinburg had an uncharacteristically bad showing, 2-12 from the field. But he did go 9-9 at the free throw line to finish the night with 14 points.
The Bulls surged in the second half. After coming out of the first half down 37-26 UB chipped away until at 6:46 they took a 60-59 lead.
