Going into a B1G stadium favored, and seeking their first ever win against an opponent who was in the conference (not counting UB’s defeat of Penn State in 1900)
The Bulls made a few early mental mistakes that let Rutgers get out to a 3-0 lead.
Isaiah King tried to field a kickoff which was going out of bounds, sticking UB at the 16 when they could have started at the 35. On the ensuing drive a drop by George Rushing capped a 3-0 which gave Rutgers good field position.
The Scarlet Knights easily drove on the UB defense until they got deep into the red zone.
