BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo baseball rising senior relief pitcher Blair Lakso will be leaving the Bulls after signing a professional contract with the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday afternoon. Lakso completed a spectacular summer performance with the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters of the Northwoods League to earn his chance at the next level.
The hard-throwing righty appeared in 17 games and pitched in 23.2 innings while striking out 22 batters over his two-year UB career. His k/9 ratio of 8.38 led the Bulls last season while striking out 18 batters over 19 innings of work.
