BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's basketball team (14-5, 4-4 MAC) saw their three-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday night at Alumni Arena as the Ball State Cardinals shot their way to a 89-75 victory in front of 1,189 fans. Junior point guard Stephanie Reid notched her second double-double of the season in the loss as she netted 10 points and tied assistant coach Ashely Zuber's program record with 16 assists in 33 minutes of action.
The turning point in the game came late in the second quarter as the Bulls were able to cut the Ball State lead to just four with 3:56 remaining as Summer Hemphill finished off a layup after an assist from Reid.
