At 6-5 UB can, for all intents and purposes, lock a bowl game with a win this week over Bowling Green.
This is one of those years where a couple of six win teams may get left out of the Bowl picture and that didn’t work out too well for Lance Leopold and company in 2017. Seven wins along with a half way decent resume would lock UB in for a bowl game.
Leipold has twice been in the positin where a last week win would vastly improve Buffalo’s chances of Bowling.
- In 2015 UB lost to UMass, at home, which dropped the Bulls to 5-7 and eliminated them from Bowl Contention
- In 2017 Buffalo downed Ohio to get their sixth win of the year.
