The Buffalo Bills increased their team sack total from 2017 to 2018; however, the total number still placed them in the bottom-third of the league overall. The team was 30th in sacks during head coach Sean McDermott’s first season, amassing only 27 sacks in 2017. While they added a few more in 2018, totaling 36, that overall number was still only 26th in the league.
It’s been three whole seasons since the Bills had an individual player make it to double-figures in total sacks, with then-33-year-old Lorenzo Alexander coming out of nowhere to lead the team with 12.
