Three professional football leagues. Four different offensive line positions. Nine professional teams. Twenty-three NFL games played. For most that is a textbook description of an NFL journeyman. For Bills new offensive tackle Michael Ola it is called perseverance.
The 28-year old offensive tackle is the NFL embodiment of a Johnny Cash classic. He truly has been everywhere. But it’s that well-traveled resume that will have him ready to play on Sunday should Cordy Glenn (questionable) be unable to return from a high ankle sprain or Jordan Mills suffer an injury.
“It’s his ability to adapt and go from one place to another,” said Bills offensive assistant Pat Meyer of Ola.
