ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Through the first six weeks of the regular season, few would argue that running back LeSean McCoy has been the Buffalo Bills' most valuable player. But is he a worthy candidate to be NFL MVP?
Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas, the Bills' most recent NFL MVP in 1991, believes so.
"I think right now, [McCoy] is definitely among the top five candidates for MVP in the NFL, just because of what he's done for his team in these four [consecutive] victories," Thomas told ESPN by phone Tuesday.
