The last week before an NFL Draft is a slog. People have already exhausted the takes necessary to fill all the air time up to this point, But there are still so many days left in the 24/7 sports news cycle that they need something, anything, to grab and/or keep our attention. So the takes become more outlandish, the personalities get louder, and it all bleeds over into social media where people are at each other’s throats for daring to think someone is a reach at 30 when they’d obviously be a steal.
And so the dialogue can sometimes center around a pillar of this pre-draft period: the mock draft.
