Starting defensive end Shaq Lawson and rookie nickel cornerback Taron Johnson will be inactive on Sunday as both Buffalo Bills recover from injuries sustained in the season opener. Lawson (hamstring) and Johnson (shoulder) weren’t able to practice in any of the days leading up to the game against the LA Chargers, making this an expected report from One Bills Drive. This means the Bills will be using a lot more Trent Murphy, Phillip Gaines, and (possibly) Vontae Davis this week.
Rookie receiver Ray-Ray McCloud, who missed the season opener rehabbing a preseason knee injury, finally returned to practice in a limited fashion on Friday.
