PITTSFORD – Saturday night was supposed to bring some order to the Buffalo Bills’ quarterback situation.
That’s what Rex Ryan was saying days before the Bills’ inter-squad scrimmage at their St. John Fisher College training camp.
On Monday, however, the Bills’ coach sounded as if he wasn’t any closer to picking a starter than he was when the team hired him in January.
“I think maybe I was looking for a little separation or somebody would rise to the occasion,” Ryan said. “But that really didn’t happen.”
As if to reinforce the point, later in the day the Bills released an unofficial depth chart that listed their “starting” quarterback as Matt Cassel/Tyrod Taylor/EJ Manuel.
