The Buffalo Bills are taking it slow as they return wide receiver Sammy Watkins to the field following offseason foot surgery. They want to make sure the problem doesn’t linger. As the Bills start training camp, Watkins is healthy enough to do some limited conditioning work.
"Watkins played some pickup basketball at LA Fitness but didn't do much jumping or crashing the boards," reports Matthew Fairburn of Syracuse.com. "Afterward, he said his foot feels great. His X-rays this week came back clean, and the broken foot he had surgery on this spring has healed."
He’s been running in a straight line but is still not doing stressful activities that might aggravate the injury.
