FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan defended his decision to name IK Enemkpali a game-day captain against the New York Jets on Thursday, claiming it isn't a slap at his old team.
Citing that he traditionally designates players playing against their former teams as game day captains, Ryan said his choice of Enemkpali was not a shot at the Jets even though the linebacker punched and broke Geno Smith's jaw during Jets' training camp before he was released by the team.
"Guys, it's not a slap in anybod's face.
