ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan said Wednesday that he should be the target of criticism for his underperforming defense, which ranks 20th in yards allowed through 13 games this season, but he stood by his abilities as a defensive coach.
"Did I expect our numbers to be much better than they are this year? Absolutely," Ryan said. "Absolutely did. I mean, I really did. I know we have the talent. This has been a good defense for the last two years, it was a really good defense. We haven't measured up statistically.
