Roof to be closed when Buffalo Bills take on Atlanta Falcons Sunday

When the Buffalo Bills take on the Atlanta Falcons Sunday, the Bills will have to contend with more than just the eleven players wearing black jerseys on the field. Per Vaughn McClure of ESPN, the Falcons have decided to close the retractable roof at Mercedes-Benz stadium on Sunday.

The retractable roof was open during Atlanta’s home opener, a week two victory over the Green Bay Packers. With the roof closed, the crowd noise will be amplified, making communication more difficult than it would be in an outdoor stadium. With the Bills possibly forced to start rookie Dion Dawkins at left tackle, this could cause problems in terms of checks and reads before the snap.
