Draft weekend was a miserable experience for Nickell Robey. Worse than that, really. He calls it “the most terrible” feeling of his life.
“And to be honest,” Robey said, eyes piercing, “that’s what still drives me to be in the league today. Before every game, practice, whatever, I always have the mind-set of ‘You were undrafted, yo! You did not get picked!’”
That’s 254 — count ‘em — 254 players picked ahead of the Buffalo Bills cornerback in the 2013 draft.
Ah, he remembers the names. Give Robey enough time and he’d get close to all 254.
