ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Buffalo isn't much of a baseball town, or a basketball outpost. But the city does love its football and hockey, and the bond between the NFL's Buffalo Bills and NHL's Buffalo Sabres has been only strengthened since Rex Ryan took over as coach.

Ryan, a hockey fan who grew up rooting for the Toronto Maple Leafs, attended several Sabres games this past season with two of his newest defensive assistant coaches: his twin brother, Rob, and one of his favorite former players, Ed Reed.
