ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Rex Ryan said Monday that the Buffalo Bills' process for challenging plays broke down in their 30-22 loss Sunday to the Kansas City Chiefs, when Ryan unsuccessfully challenged two plays and did not challenge three other close calls.
"I'm not going to name names or anything like that, but obviously, there is a process in place," Ryan said. "Did that process let us down yesterday? Absolutely did. It failed on a couple of occasions obviously. I think for the most part, that thing's been pretty decent."
Ryan said after the game he was "not aware" of Jeremy Maclin's 37-yard catch in the third quarter in which the Chiefs receiver appeared to trap the ball against the ground.
