Through six games, the thesis of the 2015 Buffalo Bills could almost certainly be about penalties, and the team’s inability to prevent themselves from committing infractions at the worst possible times.
The Bills took eight penalties for 93 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday afternoon, bringing their season total to an impressive — or unimpressive — 62 penalties for 583 yards. After defending his team’s “fight” in previous post game conferences, coach Rex Ryan was now admitting the mistakes are getting costly.
“It’s clear we’ve got things to get better at,” Ryan told reporters after the game.
