The Buffalo Bills needed a win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night to ensure their fifth-consecutive AFC East Division title. While any margin of victory would have been fine, a 35-10 thumping of the defending NFC champs made for a fun, snowy atmosphere at Highmark Stadium.
The 49ers are dealing with myriad injuries, as they already were without five starters entering play Sunday night. By the end of the game, they were down their two best running backs and a starting defensive tackle. That doesn’t lessen the importance of Buffalo’s dominating victory, however, as the Bills showed yet another way that they can win a game.
