Prior to the final preseason game, the Buffalo Bills released Cory Carter which left the team with Corey Bojorquez as the only punter on the roster. However, Bojorquez has not impressed this preseason but did make the 53-man roster. This led to speculation that the Bills would be looking at players cut as potential alternatives.
One of those players was Britton Colquitt, who at 34 years of age was entering his 10th year in the league, and was a surprise cut by the Cleveland Browns. In nine seasons, he played six with the Denver Broncos and the past three with the Browns.
