Buffalo Bills assistant director of college scouting Lake Dawson has received a second interview for the vacant Carolina Panthers general manager job and is considered to be a strong candidate, sources told NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. However, Pelissero adds that the Panthers, who are currently the subjects of a pair of investigations by the NFL regarding two of their front office executives, are not close to offering the job to anyone.
Marty Hurney, who took over the interim Panthers GM job when Dave Gettleman was fired last July, has been placed on leave after his ex-wife accused him of harassment.
