Earlier in the week, head coach Sean McDermott said quarterback Josh Allen and most of the starters would play well into the second quarter of Buffalo’s second preseason game, but after a torrential downpour led to a soggy field in Pittsburgh, McDermott opted to sit his franchise quarterback and have Mitch Trubisky get the start with the first-team offense.
