Taylor has knee contusion
Considering that Tyrod Taylor was carted off the field in the fourth quarter, the diagnosis of his injury Monday was an encouraging one.
“Tyrod Taylor is day to day,” said head coach Sean McDermott. “He has a patellar tendon contusion. The ligaments are fine.”
Taylor was injured on the first play of the game when Patriots LB David Harris caught him from behind as Taylor ran to the left sideline. The quarterback was shaken up on the play and hobbled back to the huddle. After the first drive, he retreated to the medical tent for further examination, but insisted he could continue playing.
