Player only film sessions paying off for Bills

It’s 8 pm and Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor is standing at the front of the room on the St. John Fisher campus with the film clicker in his hand. He’s walking all the offensive skill position players through two or three plays from the day’s practice that he feels needs tighter execution. There’s healthy interaction as Taylor explains exactly what he wants on the play and his playmakers ask questions and provide their input. It’s all in the name of capitalizing on more opportunities in games than missing them.

At Bills training camp players are typically done for the day at 6:45 pm, but Taylor and the other veteran leaders on the roster decided the down time in the evening would be best used with player-to-player communication in the same meeting rooms where they sit with coaches during the day.
