The Buffalo Bills have interviewed four candidates for their head coach opening and hadn’t tipped their hand, but on Tuesday night a few dominoes began to shift with reports from John Wawrow and Vic Carucci that the Bills were leaning toward Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott to be their next head coach.
As a man with no head coaching experience coming from a defensive background, McDermott will have had to answer questions about his choices for managing a team’s offense. Dating back to last season, the rumor mill has connected him to (now former) Chargers head coach Mike McCoy, whom he would reportedly bring along as his offensive coordinator.
