The Buffalo Bills got to kick their feet up over the weekend.
Coach Rex Ryan and receiver Sammy Watkins took advantage of their down time Saturday by heading down the Thruway to Syracuse, where they watched No. 1 Clemson defeat the Orange.
It was a chance for Ryan to see his son, Seth, a reserve wide receiver for the Tigers, and Watkins to reconnect with his alma mater.
The “mini bye” weekend could be enjoyed after the Bills escaped with a 22-17 win over the New York Jets on Thursday night. That game was the start of a stretch of three straight on the road for the Bills.
