The Buffalo Bills lost their preseason finale on the road to the Detroit Lions, 17-10, and this was your highlight of the evening:
Ron Brooks recorded the Bills' lone touchdown on the evening, intercepting a deflected first-quarter pass and returning it for a touchdown. It was all downhill from there, as the Lions outscored the Bills 17-3 from that point. These were the notes that I took on the team - which played exclusively backups and bubble players tonight - throughout the course of the game.
- Davis makes great catch on tipped pass
- Ugly DPI on Brooks on next series
- Bad deep ball tracking by Davis with space (ball under thrown)
- Second muffed snap (lost) - Urbik snapped without the ball
- Butler burned badly on 65-yard slant TD
- Tarpley blows up a screen
- Solid PBU in space by Tarpley
- Groves gives up edge on lengthy Zach Zenner run
- Brooks blows up a WR screen
- Simms makes one of the most boneheaded plays in NFL QB history
- Another five-plus-yard run right at Groves
- Excellent read by Butler on quick hitch to WR for loss
- Another Enemkpali offside negates third down stop
And with that, the preseason is over.
