Josh Allen’s performance vs. Ram shows once again why wins aren’t a QB stat

At some point, we’ve got to stop doing this. Right?! Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen scored six touchdowns and accounted for 424 yards in Buffalo’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams. He became the first player in NFL history to throw for three touchdowns and run for three touchdowns in the same game.

And yet, when Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe went on ESPN’s First Take to analyze the game, he said that Allen “can’t spot a team 14 points on the road” (despite the score never being 14-0). When Sharpe’s designated arguing partner Dan Orlovsky pointed out that the Bills’ deficit had never reached a 14-0 margin, Sharpe responded by yelling that “it was 24-10 at one point” (the score was never 24-10).
