Jordan Poyer was brought in to solidify a Buffalo Bills secondary that was looking to replace both of its starters — Corey Graham and Aaron Williams — from 2016. Through the first two weeks of the 2017 season, it is becoming readily apparent that signing Poyer, who inked a four-year, $13 million dollar deal with Buffalo, was a smart move, as the safety is providing immediate value for the Bills.
For the second straight week, Poyer’s strong play earned him a spot on Pro Football Focus’ Team of the Week.
During Sunday’s 9-3 setback against the Carolina Panthers, Poyer recorded a team-high 11 total tackes (seven solo stops) to go with one sack and three passes defensed.
