Saturday, when the Buffalo Bills put out their 53-man roster, Johnathan Williams seemed to be the obvious number 2 running back on the depth chart. Many Bills fans were in for a shock Sunday when the team released the 2016 fifth-round draft pick.
During Monday’s press conference, the first time head coach Sean McDermott met with the media since the moves, the coach addressed the situation saying it was a tough choice to make. With the cut to Williams, McDermott announced the backup running back spot will be by committee between Mike Tolbert, Joe Banyard and Taiwan Jones.
