Jim Kelly discharged from hospital after having jaw surgery to remove cancer last month

Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly was discharged from a New York City hospital Saturday after having surgery last month to remove cancer in his upper jaw.

Kelly is expected to continue to his recovery in New York for the next two weeks before returning to Buffalo, his wife, Jill, wrote on Instagram:

With a swollen smile, and a cane in his hand he was DISCHARGED from the hospital today! Praise the LORD! So THANKFUL for Dr. Mark Urken, his team, and the rest of the amazing Mount Sinai staff.
