For some time now, it’d felt like the Buffalo Bills had size parameters to follow by in order to draft an edge rusher prospect at any point in the NFL Draft. That theory has been busted to an extent with the Bills’ most recent pick in the fifth round. At pick No. 168 overall, general manager Brandon Beane went against the established grain in selecting Troy edge rusher Javon Solomon.
Solomon has a ton of production to his name, amassing 32.5 sacks in his career at Troy. He has an explosive first step and a good amount of pass-rush moves to make him an immediate threat as he moves to the next level with his pass rush.
