Cornelius Bennett began his professional career as the second pick of the 1987 NFL Draft of the Colts. His stint with Indianapolis was brief, as Bennett was an important piece the three-team blockbuster deal that would land him in Buffalo. The deal sent RB Eric Dickerson from the Los Angeles Rams to the Indianapolis Colts. In return, the Rams received Bills RB Greg Bell and Buffalo’s first-round choice in 1988 and first and second-round choices in 1989.
