In the NFL, a sound offense starts up front. On August 30, 2013 the Buffalo Bills took steps to secure their offensive line when they signed Pro Bowl center Eric Wood to a contract extension.
A Louisville product, Wood was drafted by the Bills in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft and quickly became a staple on the team’s offensive line. Getting his first NFL start at right guard during Buffalo’s season-opener against the Patriots on September 14, 2009, Wood made an immediate impact. A physical and versatile player, Wood transitioned from right guard to center in 2010.
