IK Enemkpali suffered what Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan called a “major knee injury” during the second quarter of the team’s preseason opener. Coming back onto the field following halftime, Ryan made the comments to the Buffalo Bills Television Network.
Enemkpali was next in line to be the starter at outside linebacker after the departure of Mario Williams and surgery sidelined Buffalo’s top draft pick, Shaq Lawson. Lawson is expected to miss two months of the season and now with Enemkpali out, the next in line for the position are 10-year veteran Lorenzo Alexander or undrafted free agents Eric Striker and Bryson Albright.
