The Arizona Cardinals have signed offensive guard Brian Winters to a one-year contract, the team announced Monday. Winters played with the Buffalo Bills in 2020, and is the sixth player to sign with a new team in 2021.
Winters, who was waived by the New York Jets in the summer, quickly signed with the Bills in training camp. Buffalo had just lost starting guard Jon Feliciano to a torn pectoral, so Winters seemed like a natural replacement at his position. While the Bills initially rolled out a lineup featuring Quinton Spain and Cody Ford at guard, Spain fell out of favor, and Winters was the starter by Week 3.
