Just days after his car was found crashed and abandoned on a Massachusetts highway, Brandon Spikes was cited Friday by state police.
According to ESPN, Spikes, who was cut by the New England Patriots on Monday as the investigation into the incident began, was issued a citation that charges him with speeding, negligent driving, leaving the scene of a crash that resulted in injuries and failing to stay in marked lanes.
The 27-year-old Spikes will be summonsed to appear in Wrentham District Court at a to-be-determined date.
