After a few years of bad kicking from once-dependable guys like Dan Carpenter, Stephen Hauschka signing with the Buffalo Bills from the Seattle Seahawks was a significant move for the team. His 2017 season was great and so was his 2018 season before he suffered a back injury against the New York Jets.
After Hauschka took a dirty hit from a Jets lineman during a field-goal attempt, he struggled to get much power behind his kicks for the rest of the season. It was noticeably bothering Hauschka while he was kicking and there were even a few instances where the Bills elected to either punt or go for it on fourth down because he couldn’t kick from his usual range.
