Charles Clay was the second-highest-paid player on the Buffalo Bills in 2018. Clay was also one of the least productive players on the Bills’ roster. By the end of the season, Clay was already an afterthought for the Bills with the small rise of Jason Croom, who did a little bit more with less opportunities.
Clay was supposed to be the one sure-handed reliable target for Josh Allen and the rest of the quarterbacks. Instead, he severely under performed. For the 2018 season, Clay had only 21 catches for 184 yards and he was held out of the end zone entirely.
