Buffalo Bills transactions as NFL cutdown day approaches

The Buffalo Bills have begun to trim their roster as the NFL’s deadline to have teams down to 53 active players approaches. The deadline is at 4 PM Eastern on Saturday, but the team has already started to make some moves as the preseason has come to a close.

At the start of Friday, the Bills had 83 players on the active roster. Two of them will move to the suspended list at the deadline and won’t factor into the 53-man total whether they remain on the roster or not: offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson still has five games left on his ten-game suspension from last season, while wide receiver Walt Powell was hit with a four-game suspension during the offseason.
