Buffalo Bills superfan Pancho Billa, also known by his given name Ezra Castro, will be laid to rest this week in his home state of Texas. As arrangements were being planned, the team announced a special tribute to Castro will take place the weekend of the home opener, September 22nd in Orchard Park.
Castro’s long-time girlfriend Veronica Borjon and the team announced that instead of holding an event in Western New York now, it would be best to wait until a raucous Bills crowd could be in attendance.
“Before his death, Castro – a mortician – daydreamed about the idea of having another viewing this month at New Era Field,” according to The Buffalo News, who profiled Castro weeks before he died.
