The Buffalo Bills have placed an original round tender on RFA running back Mike Gillislee, according to Ian Rapoport. That was the fifth round.
The tender is worth $1.79M in 2017. With this tender, the Bills still have right of first refusal on any offer Gillislee receives from another team. If they decide not to match an offer, they’d receive a fifth-round pick in return.
What’s important though, at the end of Rapoport’s tweet he wrote “they'll try to work out an extension.”
The Bills acquired Gillislee in 2015 after he spent two seasons with the Miami Dolphins and a short time with the Arizona Cardinals.
