The Buffalo Bills are reportedly signing veteran wide receiver Damiere Byrd. The 31-year old was recently released by the Washington Commanders.
Byrd entered the league in 2015 as an undrafted free agent with the Carolina Panthers. Both head coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane were in Carolina at the time, serving as the defensive coordinator and the assistant general manager, respectively. Byrd played for the Panthers from 2016-2018, appearing in 17 games with the club. He caught just 12 passes for 129 yards and two scores in that span.
