The Buffalo Bills are inching closer to signing their entire rookie class by finalizing a deal with sixth-round safety Damar Hamlin. Hamlin was one of three sixth-round selections the Bills made in April’s draft.
The only remaining players from the draft class that remain unsigned are third-round selection, OT Spencer Brown, and first-rounder Greg Rosseau, a pass rusher from Miami. Most of the rookies signed last week ahead of or during rookie minicamp.
Hamlin does a path to the roster at safety, where the Bills lost longtime steady backup Dean Marlowe. While 2019 sixth-round safety Jaquan Johnson is expected to slide into Marlowe’s primary backup role, Hamlin could step in as the developmental depth option at fourth safety.
